Hiya Iggles!

I hope camp has gone well for you! I know that it was filled with loads of really great recipes but I wanted to get the chance to share a really fun, easy and delicious one with you guys as well!

This is the first post ever for the newly found Cooking Club (run by yours truly) and I hope that you guys will be interested enough to come back next month for another cooking challenge/activity!

Campfire Cones were a fairly recent discovery of mine and  I have since wanted to make as many different ones as I can. Adapting the traditional way to make them to fit us IGGLES who aren’t camping was fairly easy so no worries! You don’t have to be outside in front of a campfire to enjoy these but if you’re lucky enough to have one then by all means, take them outside and enjoy them!

If you didn’t take a look at the supply list for these guys already,  here it is!

Ingredients:
-Ice cream cones (I find that waffle/sugar type cones are best)
-Various Fillings (for example):
Bananas
Strawberries
Chocolate Chips
Peanuts
Peanut Butter
White Chocolate Morsels
Marshmallows
Coconut
Peanut Butter
Literally ANYTHING you might want to eat from this cone! Think of it as a build-a-cone!
Materials:
-Foil (big enough to wrap around the entire cone even the top
-Oven, Grill (indoor or outdoor) or Campfire (if you’re lucky!)
-Cupcake Pan (optional)
Here’s what you’ll need to do!
For mine, I made s’mores ones as they are the traditional camp snack but as I stated above, you can make whatever you want!
First thing you’ll wanna do is set your oven to 400 degrees (if you’re using in indoor grill, set to a  pretty high setting and if you’re using a campfire..well..make one!)
1
Gather up all of your filling ingredients. For my s’mores one, I did the basic chocolate, marshmallow and graham crackers. I used mini chocolate bars and cut those into smaller pieces as well as broke my crackers into smaller pieces!
2
Then, I gathered up my cones and layered everything inside. In one, I started with marshmallow and in the other, chocolate.
3
Next, I wrapped the cone in foil and put them in the oven for about 6 minutes. After the 6 minutes were up I took them out, turned  my oven on broil and added a but more of each but mostly graham crackers and chocolate!
Note: As things melt, the filling might sink down so add more if you want!
Leaving my cones uncovered this time I carefully set them in a cupcake pan and popped it into the oven for another minute.
Let the cones cool for about 5 minutes before eating as they’re REALLY hot and you don’t want to burn your mouth.

A simple, easy, delicious and kinda messy snack is ready to be consumed!
These are so easy and fun to make you can even get your kids in on the excitement!

If YOU made your own Campfire Cone, share your photos, blog posts or experiences either here in the comments, on Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr using the hashtag #IggleCookingClub OR in the Cooking Club forum! Also you may wish to type campfirecones in the achievement box and see if anything fun happens!

Next month when I return with a new recipe for the club, I will showcase some of YOUR creations!

So get cooking, Iggles and be careful not to burn yourself!
